Gwinnett Runs on Local. So Do We.

Thrive Gwinnett is where neighbors find the local businesses that make this county feel like home, and where those businesses finally get found online.

More Than A Directory

Most directories toss your business onto a list and move on. We built Thrive Gwinnett because the people behind our county's shops, kitchens, salons, and service trucks deserve better than a link nobody ever scrolls to.

We do two things. We help folks in Gwinnett find the businesses right in their own backyard, and we help those businesses get found in a world where people don't really type into a search bar anymore. They ask. Somebody asks Google or ChatGPT or Siri for a good barber in Lawrenceville or a family bakery in Duluth, and we want a local name to be the answer.

Most owners haven't caught up to that shift yet. We have. Getting recommended by AI is quickly becoming as important as ranking on Google ever was, and preparing our businesses for it is baked into every listing here.

Why Local Matters

When you buy local, your money doesn't disappear into some corporate account three states away. It stays close and does real work right here.

Three points:

  • Research on independent businesses has found that about 68 cents of every dollar you spend locally stays in the community. At a national chain, far less does.

  • Even locally owned franchises put roughly 43% of what they earn back into the local economy.

  • That money pays a wage, covers a family's groceries, sponsors a kid's ball team, and keeps Gwinnett feeling like Gwinnett.

Born here, moved here, or just passing through, come see what's around you and spend a little more of your life on the people who pour theirs into this place.

I'm Pierre Tugman. I started Thrive Gwinnett because the best businesses around here are often the hardest ones to find online. The big brands can afford to buy the top spot. The family-run places, the ones who know your name and start your order before you ask, usually can't. That bugged me enough to do something about it.

So I built the thing I wished already existed. Somewhere that puts Gwinnett's local businesses in front of the neighbors looking for them, and gives owners a fair shot at getting recommended now that people search by asking AI.

I run this from home, with my sons Pierre Jr, Robbie and Miles pitching in. I want them to see up close that you can bet on your own community and have it pay off. There's no big company behind Thrive Gwinnett. It's me, my boys, and a stubborn belief that this county does better when its local businesses do.

Own a business? I'd love to help you get found. Just here to shop? Thank you for keeping it local. You're half of why any of this works.
